- Jim,
-
- I've got BIABv7, JammerPro2, and i3. BIAB is fun for anyone, and there are
- lots of songs/chords that people have already typed in. JammerPro is a more
- sophisticated program, and does better-sounding work if your willing to
- invest the time to learn its interface and features (which take some time to
- figure out and wok well with). However, the i3 still rules in my mind... the
- arrangaments are more natural-sounding and the interface of the i3 (buttons
- to mute each track, or to select each variation/fill/ending) combined with
- real-time chord-recognition, make it a much more useful musical tool. And
- the AI2 synthesis used by the i3 still sounds a lot better than a
- SoundBlaster (even AWE32). Yamaha makes the excellent Waveforce MIDI card,
- but even with that, you cant load in new sounds or edit sounds like you can
- on the i3.
